Mechanical Services
A great deal of our work is involved with fault finding, repairing and sourcing replacements for motors and pumps. Single phase or three-phase with DOL, star delta or inverter driven methods of control. We also offer maintenance contracts incorporating provision for consumables like drive belts.
Design & Installation
The design of an electrical installation is what divides the good electrician from the average.
Apart from the obvious (making sure an installation is fully compliant to BS7671), the other considerations such as methodology and an intelligently assessed vision of future use, will produce an installation which will much better service the customer for years to come, minimising any future problems and/or costly circuit additions.

Case Study: Wincanton Innovation Centre
This was a particularly rewarding project. The first challenge was getting power to the location of the Innovation Centre within the Web building, a 528,000 sq ft shared user facility.
Two supplies of 125amp three phase were required, one for the Innovation Centre itself and the other for the new EV charge point installation to accompany it. Two cables run via new cable management, from one end of the building to other. The Innovation Centre was to be a space dedicated to showcasing the state-of-the-art technical systems in a place to provide high speed reliable logistic solutions, coupled with a look into the future of how logistics will look. The design was brilliantly executed by Frontline Display LTD.
The project was unlike many we have undertaken: although the emphasis was on technology, the space had to be conducive to a work environment, inspiring ideas and thoughts. The meeting pods and idea pods were key to this. Our part, in providing the lighting which had adequate lux values but not obtrusive. The general lighting, however, makes a statement and is interesting to look at, as well as providing functioning task lights. Cost-Effective, Low Energy Solutions
Lighting can represent 50% of all commercial energy use. There are now very cost-effective ways of introducing low energy solutions into the commercial sector with very short pay back periods.
Free Assessments
We can carry out free assessments of your environment and show you the achievable savings in energy costs. Popular solutions include retaining the existing luminaires and replacing the gear trays with retro fit low energy units.
This method reduces disruption to the work place, the possible need for re-decorating and ultimately the cost of the works.
Energy Efficiency Motor Audit
The retro fitting of inverter drives to motors incorporated into pumps, ventilation, extraction etc is another popular route to saving energy. Many systems (particularly older plant) incorporate motors which simply run flat out all through the working day.
An inverter drive introduced into the system will drive the motor at only the required speed for the operation. For example reducing the speed of a motor by 15% can reduce its power consumption by 40%.
The cost of inverter drives has significantly reduced in recent years making this option a viable method of reducing energy consumption with reduced payback periods.
